This year's Halloween version of our signature Cupcake Makeup series was great.  The kids were excited and very good at creating Halloween-themed cupcakes to take home.  I'm always happy to share my passion and open up the minds of children and their parents to what I consider a creative and artistic passion.  Like The Sweet Carte on Facebook and follow @thesweetcarte on Instagram for the latest cake and dessert designs!

I was excited to be a part of the 2nd Annual Fall Festival at the R.H. Kirkpatrick Agricultural Arena in Autaugaville held on October 29th. I thank Marquis Forge and MRaine Industries/Eleven86 Real Artesian Water for inviting me back this year. The event was larger this year, with more vendors, more food, and more people! The bite-sized pumpkin cookies were a hit with both the adults and children.  It's always good to give back in any way you can to the town where I grew up. I look forward to many more events and opportunities to do so.

The Sweet Carte was happy to be a part of the Blessed to be a Blessing Awareness Event at Village Green Park in Millbrook on October 6th.  The event was meant to highlight people and organizations available to help with domestic violence situations, mental illnesses, parenting, and a variety of other resources available to help the community.  It was enlightening and beneficial to many.  When the people of a community are aware of what they have access to, they are more likely to put those resources to use.  Kudos to Kim Smith for organizing a great event!

I also had a great time at the Fall Festival at the R.H. Kirkpatrick Agricultural Arena in Autaugaville held on October 30th. I thank Marquis Forge and MRaine Industries/Eleven86 Real Artesian Water for the invitation. I was able to see some old friends, meet new ones and watch the kids have fun! They loved the Ghost and Jack-o-Lantern Cake Balls---and so did the adults!  I will always strive to be a positive influence on the town where I grew up, and hopefully be a person that the community is proud to call a native daughter.  

The Easter Cupcake Makeup was the latest in The Sweet Carte's signature holiday event series for children.  As always, the kids were a joy to guide and interact with while we created cute Easter-themed cupcakes for them to enjoy.  I'm thrilled to share my passion and open up the minds of children and their parents to what I consider a creative and artistic passion.  Like The Sweet Carte on Facebook and follow @thesweetcarte on Instagram for the latest cake and dessert designs!

Exciting things are happening at The Sweet Carte!  This first year in business has been great; and I am looking forward to what 2017 has in store.  I invite everyone to view The Sweet Carte's article in the December issue of Elmore County Living magazine. Our Christmas version of the Holiday Cupcake Make-up was absolutely great!  Thank you to all the parents and children that came to the bakery to create cupcakes.  Keep your eyes and ears open to the website & our social media outlets as we are already preparing for our next one & other upcoming events!

The Sweet Carte's ribbon cutting was held on March 19, 2016.  It went very well, and I was extremely happy to have so many of my family, friends and clients to attend and visit the bake shop throughout the entire weekend!  Those of you who were not able to make it still graced me with your warm thoughts through calls, texts, messages, emails and even video calls.  I am excited about this new journey, and I ask that you all continue to order custom desserts and come in on weekends to get some great desserts to make your days a little sweeter!  Love and appreciate you all!

I am expecting 2016 to be a great year for The Sweet Carte! There are some huge undertakings in the works; and hopefully an official announcement will be coming soon!  I am so excited and thankful for the many blessings that have been, are being and will be received! I'm looking forward to working hard on more wonderful cake designs this coming year.  Keep your eyes open, you might miss something...
