The Easter Cupcake Makeup was the latest in The Sweet Carte's signature holiday event series for children. As always, the kids were a joy to guide and interact with while we created cute Easter-themed cupcakes for them to enjoy. I'm thrilled to share my passion and open up the minds of children and their parents to what I consider a creative and artistic passion. Exciting things are happening at The Sweet Carte! This first year in business has been great; and I am looking forward to what 2017 has in store. The Sweet Carte's ribbon cutting was held on March 19, 2016. It went very well, and I was extremely happy to have so many of my family, friends and clients to attend and visit the bake shop throughout the entire weekend! Those of you who were not able to make it still graced me with your warm thoughts through calls, texts, messages, emails and even video calls. I am excited about this new journey, and I ask that you all continue to order custom desserts and come in on weekends to get some great desserts to make your days a little sweeter! Love and appreciate you all!
I am expecting 2016 to be a great year for The Sweet Carte! There are some huge undertakings in the works; and hopefully an official announcement will be coming soon! I am so excited and thankful for the many blessings that have been, are being and will be received! I'm looking forward to working hard on more wonderful cake designs this coming year. Spring is upon us & it is my favorite season. For me, it symbolizes a time for a refreshing attitude, cleaning house (literally and figuratively), giving life to new ideas and revitalizing any long term situations that need a boost. Be hesitant to entertain thoughts of those who may think they know what's best for your situation when they have never been in that situation; only you walk your walk and understand the emotions and challenges of your circumstances and the gifts to be received from traversing faithfully through those circumstances. Be slow to take offense; have a bright attitude; give encouragement to them so that they may take a look at themselves and move any walls they have built that block their potential gifts. You may be used as a vehicle for their blessing; because truly, some of my best blessings have come through others. Personally, Spring 2015 is a time to enjoy the new swing in my walk and be positive about all that comes my way. Sweet Cheers to Spring

For all of you on your diet regimens, I feel for you today. For those of you who are not, bake one or buy one--just enjoy a decadent Chocolate Cake!
January is National Hobby Month, so I wanted to express my feelings for what has become more than just a hobby for me. Baking and decorating desserts has become a love, a joy, an avenue of relaxation and an expression of creativity. Although there is a sense of gratification when Clients are happy with the end result, there are few things that satisfy me more than the peace I feel when I am in the throws of research, design, and finally creation of what I and the Client have envisioned. I find myself in a zone, hard to explain but easy to feel. It's a place where I can think about my joys, my sorrows, my ups and downs from the days and weeks prior. Believe it or not, I can meditate and submit myself to my Higher Power. I concentrate on all the good that can and WILL come. Since life brings so many unexpected twists and turns, I now consider it a necessity to live with less fear and boundaries and to give without hesitation. Once anxiety is gone, the willingness to give without expecting anything in return is present, and trust in my Higher Power is constant and unwavering, great and wonderful things begin to happen. I am willing to share the wonderful things with those I love. And for my loved ones and those I may not know that well, these sweet treats are just a portion of joy that can be shared with many. I consider myself successful each time I complete a vision. I consider myself successful because I enjoy what I do. I consider myself successful because others can also enjoy the result of what I do.That's why I l do what I Love and Love what I do!
